Diamond-Tip Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a gentle, safe, non-invasive procedure that effectively treats wrinkles, spots on the skin, and severe acne. In this treatment, our team uses Diamond microdermabrasion to remove the top layer of dead skin, uncovering the healthy, vibrant skin underneath.  Even after your first session, your skin will look younger, fresher, and healthier. Diamond microdermabrasion utilizes a combination of diamond tips and suction to exfoliate. The tips vary in size and strength and the suction can be increased or decreased depending on the patient’s skin. These factors make this particular procedure very customizable to the individual patient.

MicroPeel® and Micropeel® Plus

The Micropeel® is a multi-step process performed at the Robert G. Anderson, MD, Medical Spa that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin. By removing the top layer of the skin, products are able to penetrate more effectively, sun damage gradually disappears, and pores are cleared of dirt and dead skin. The procedure is always customized to your specific skin type and needs, and generally takes around an hour.

The first step is a five minute, physical or enzymatic exfoliation of the skin depending on your skin type. This frees the skin of dead cellular layers and protein and prepares the skin for further exfoliation. The skin is then cleaned and prepared for a procedure called Dermaplaning. Dermaplaning is accomplished by delicately running a rounded scalpel over the surface of the skin, and it removes all traces of dead skin, hair, and debris clogging pores. After the skin is completely cleared and the pores are open, a customized Alpha Hydroxy Acid solution is applied and left on the skin for a short time. This part of the Micropeel helps to reduce acne related conditions and environmental damage to the skin by freeing impacted debris and attacking hyperpigmentation. At the end of the treatment, your aesthetician may choose to use Cryogenic Therapy to calm the skin and tighten pores depending on your treatment plan. Immediately after the treatment, your skin will look fresh, tight, and glowing and will feel very smooth to the touch. Some patients experience a slight pinkish tint to their skin for several hours after the treatment, but it generally subsides quickly.

Obagi Blue Peel

Obagi Blue Peel is a superior chemical peeling treatment that produces remarkable and dramatic results. This peel is used to improve complexion, and patients continue to experience gradual improvements up to 30 to 40 days following treatment as new healthy and vibrant skin replaces the old. During this time, their facial appearance and the texture of their skin become firmer, cleaner, smoother and therefore healthier and younger-looking. This peel also improves small lines and wrinkles, restoring a youthful facial appearance. The Obagi Blue Peel is a mixture of blue glycerine and trichloroacetic acid (TCA). It is safe and can be customized to each patient’s unique skin care needs and the current condition of their skin. For example, patients who wish to remove minor skin blemishes and improve skin tone may require one to two coats of Obagi Blue Peel. To treat moderate skin damage, our experienced skin care providers may recommend up to four coats of Obagi Blue Peel, with each coat penetrating the skin to a deeper level.

TCA Peel

The TCA Peel (trichloroacetic acid) is a deep-penetrating chemical peel that can be used to treat serious skin problems such as sun-damaged skin and reduce and repair minor facial lines, creases around the lips, crow’s feet and forehead lines. In addition, the TCA Peel removes dry, flaky skin as well as acne, blackheads, dark spots and hyperpigmentation. TCA Peel treatment lasts about 30 minutes, after which time patients begin to shed their old, dead facial skin for about three days. Final results are achieved gradually during the healing process of 10 to 14 days. The TCA Peel can restore damaged-looking skin and provide outstanding results for any patient, regardless of their age.

SkinCeuticals Gel Peel

The SkinCeuticals Gel Peel is a more gentle peel and an excellent treatment option for our Ft. Worth facial rejuvenation patients who wish to start off with a light peel that yields great results. Often, our patients undergo SkinCeuticals Gel Peel prior to a more aggressive chemical peel or with a microdermabrasion. This peel can greatly freshen up the overall appearance of facial skin and treat acne as well as hyperpigmentation. It may also reduce minor wrinkles, lines and rough skin texture for a more vibrant and better-looking facial appearance. Like our other peels, the SkinCeuticals Gel Peel also stimulates collagen synthesis and accelerates the cell renewal process.

Pigment Regulator Peel

This peel is the leading medical standard for treating hyperpigmentation.
