James Martin English, MD - Fort Worth Plastic Surgery Center

James Martin English, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a new addition to the renowned medical team of Fort Worth Plastic Surgery Center, led Robert G. Anderson, MD. Dr. English is licensed to perform plastic and reconstructive procedures of the face, body and breast in Florida and Texas. He is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a distinction achieved by a select few plastic surgeons nationwide.

Dr. English is a proud member of many professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society and is a former president of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons of Dallas. He is also a former clinical assistant professor of the University of Florida College of Medicine and has held several academic positions at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (UTSWMC) Division of Plastic Surgery, the St. Paul University Hospital, the Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and the Glen Rose Medical Center.

Dr. English received his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the University of Florida and his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. In recognition of his academic excellence, Dr. English was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his medical internship, general surgery residency and plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the Parkland Memorial Hospital (UTSWMC) in Dallas, where he received the Outstanding Senior Resident Award. Dr. English underwent additional training at the Baylor University Medical Center.

As a highly respected plastic surgery expert, Dr. English has been asked to serve on several medical committees. He is the author of many scientific articles and has conducted extensive research on mastectomy procedures, authoring a paper entitled “Total Glandular Mastectomy vs. Modified Radical Mastectomy,” which he presented at a meeting of the American College of Surgeons and several other plastic surgery conferences throughout Texas, Florida and Tennessee.

Dr. English is married and has two children.
